Champion of Change 2025/26

 

This award intends to recognise an individual who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in driving positive change in the financial planning sector. This could be through a broad range of pro bono activities, which could include, but are not limited to: 

  • Encouraging the next generation of talent to enter the profession 

  • Improving money skills amongst children and/or adults  

  • Improving the diversity and/or inclusion of the sector 

  • Championing improved outcomes for consumers 

  • Taking action to improve environmental or sustainability outcomes 

  • Positively contributing to improving public trust in the sector.

Award criteria 

The award seeks to recognise a commitment to progressing our profession, though outstanding achievement. Entrants meeting the award criteria could be:  

  • involved in or leading on projects/initiatives that support commitment to E, D & I which in turn raise public trust  

  • actively supporting the next generation through promoting financial planning as a career choice, running a successful graduate programme or delivering financial education workshops in schools.  

  • future proofing your organisation or a wider group, to incorporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations across the financial services ecosystem. 

  • in an organisation of any size  

  • going above and beyond to improve the profession 

Eligibility 

  • Full members of the Personal Finance Society  

  • Members of the PFS Board and advisers with ongoing disciplinary actions against them are excluded  

Judging 

Stage one 

When assessing the submission, the judges will be looking for evidence of the following:  

  • Explain your passion for improving the financial planning profession 

  • Examples of your commitment to going the extra mile 

  • Why you deserve the accolade Champion of Change 2025/26. 

  • Examples of positive outcomes your work has had  

  • Additional contributions / personal statement
