One in four partners and advisers at St James’s Place (SJP) have achieved Chartered status. The company stated that advisers achieving the Chartered status is part of its long-standing ambition. It intends to pursue this dynamic within its 4,500-strong financial adviser and partners community.
To demonstrate this commitment, SJP has developed an extensive programme of support to help its representatives in achieving Chartered status.
Edward Grant, SJP director responsible for professional development, said: “I’m extremely proud that we have been able to achieve our target of getting a quarter of our partners to Chartered status.
“Becoming Chartered takes a significant amount of dedication through additional studying outside of the day-to-day role and shows commitment to ongoing professional development.
“Reaching such a high level of technical competence means our clients benefit from some of the most qualified financial advisers in the UK, helping them to plan, grow and protect their wealth and achieve their financial goals.
“Our support and innovation make SJP an excellent place for continuous learning and a great environment to be Chartered."
According to SJP, achieving Chartered status takes on average 700 hours of additional study. It also includes a number of degree level exams that need to be passed enroute.
SJP holds an annual Chartered symposium. It recognises an individual who has raised professional standards and demonstrated a commitment to their profession and to their clients within their area of expertise.
