The Personal Finance Society (PFS) has announced that its pro-bono initiative, ‘Forces MoneyPlan’, delivered 105 guidance sessions to support Armed Forces personnel and veterans in 2024, bringing the five-year total to 656.

Established in 2017, Forces MoneyPlan provides free financial guidance to personnel and veterans to develop their overall financial well-being, resolve financial problems, reinforce confidence and reduce worry or stress.

Sessions are delivered by PFS member volunteers, who are matched with participants based on region or specialism. Volunteers provide impartial guidance, helping participants to understand their financial needs and priorities, make informed decisions about their options and plan for the future.

Carla Brown, President of the PFS, said:Forces MoneyPlan offers financial guidance to personnel and veterans as part of the PFS’s commitment under the Armed Forces Covenant. We are delighted with the success of this initiative over the past five years, and I would encourage other PFS members to participate wherever possible.”

The PFS partners with Blesma, Cobseo, On Course Foundation, and Veteran’s Gateway to deliver the Forces MoneyPlan initiative.
